She received her Bachelor of Music degree in Cello Performance from Azusa Pacific University under Dr. Marek Szpakiewicz, graduating magna cum laude.

A Bay Area-native, Ashley’s musical interests encompass solo, chamber, and orchestra, as well as contemporary styles and film music. She freelances around the Greater LA Area, including musical theater, opera, studio sessions, and band shows. Ashley is currently a part of a percussion-cello duo, hoping to contribute to this pathway for such a unique instrumentation. She has taken masterclasses with artists such as Desmond Hoebig, Ralph Kirshbaum, and Daniel Rothmüller. She has also attended festivals such as Heifetz International Music Institute Ashkenasi/Kirshbaum Chamber Music Seminar and Montecito International Music Festival.

As an educator, Ashley enjoys the one-on-one time with private students, being able to give them undivided attention and helping them find and cultivate their own love for music. Growing up with Suzuki method, Ashley incorporates it into her own teaching as well. Besides private lessons, she has also taught group lessons and classroom music, coached sectionals, and directed small children’s ensembles. Ashley loves being able to share her passion of music with the next generation and watching students succeed.
