Dr. Brent Nolte
Organ and Trumpet
Dr. Brent Nolte brings a breadth and depth of teaching experience to our studio. Dr. Nolte received his DMA in Organ Performance in University of Minnesota and his MM in Organ Performance in Central Michigan University. He has served as a middle school and high school band director; brass and organ lesson instructor for middle school, high school, and college students; church musician; and college professor.
Dr. Nolte has developed and maintained professional-level musical involvement on both trumpet and organ. As a trumpet player, he has played with the Kettle Moraine Symphony, the Southwest Minnesota Orchestra, the Rochester (MN) Orchestra, the St. Cloud Symphony Orchestra, and the Ohio Capital Winds. He enjoys enabling his students to progress musically and physically on the trumpet, taking an approach based on the mastery of tone production essentials which allows the student to develop highly-skilled proficiency.
Dr. Nolte serves in the music department at Ohio Christian University in Circleville, where he teaches music theory and music history courses, directs the University Band, and gives organ lessons.
