
Gayla Ebersole
Woodwinds
Gayla Ebersole received her Bachelor of Music in Education from Miami University and a Master of Arts in Woodwind Pedagogy from The Ohio State University. She currently teaches orchestra in the Columbus City Schools. Gayla Ebersole is a woodwind doubler and performs around the Columbus area doubling on flute, piccolo, clarinet and alto saxophone. She frequently performs as a reed player with the Columbus Gay Men’s Chorus as well as various musicals in the Columbus Area. Shows Gayla Ebersole has performed on reeds at the Weathervane Playhouse include Music Man, Children Of Eden, Meet Me In St. Louis, Pippin and Romance/Romance. She has also participated in the Pleasure Guild (now Butterfly Guild of Nationwide Children’s Hospital) as a woodwind doubler for The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Music Man and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.
She currently plays clarinet for the Grove City Community Winds as well as playing flute and clarinet at Church of the Resurrection. Gayla has been the librarian as well as a member of the Metropolitan Chamber Orchestra playing viola and flute.
