Tim Perdue has been a professional brass musician in the central Ohio area for the past thirty years.  He performs regularly with a wide variety of groups including: The New Basics Brass Band, Yumbambe, Honk Wail & Moan, Scarlet Fever, Soul Kitch’n, and The New Jujubees. Past performance experience includes:  The Columbus Jazz Orchestra, Vaughn Wiester’s Famous Jazz Orchestra, the Conspiracy Band, the Hoodoo Soul Band, the Sons of Gladys, and the Columbus Broadway Series among many others.

Tim teaches all brass instruments (trumpet, trombone, French horn, euphonium, tuba). Trumpet at all skill levels beginner to adult, all others beginner through high school. He has a relaxed, flexible teaching style that allows him to interact with each student on a personal level and adapt methods and materials according to their personality and skill level. Tim teaches all styles of music – Classical, Jazz, Pop/R&B, marching band, etc.

Tim received his Bachelor of Music in Education at Capital University Conservatory of Music. His areas of study included work in Music Education, Trumpet Performance, Jazz Studies and Commercial Music.
